Dr.Venugopal continues his service.

There has been a kind of enmity between Dr.venugopal the world renowned cardiologist and the newly appointed health minister Dr.Anbumani ramadoss after Mr.ramadoss was appointed in 2006.Dr.Venugopal has survived all the attempts of Ramadoss to sack him off the job as Director of All India institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Mr.Venugopal was appointed in 2003 by the previous regime and the contract was for 5 years. The doctor thwarted the activities of interference of health minister in the activities of AIIMS. The health minister wanted to sack the doctor from AIIMS even before the contract got over, but his attempt was in vain as the Doctor appealed in the Supreme Court and had the decision in his favour.

The Doctor appealed once again in the Supreme Court when health minister tried to bring a statute in the parliament to sack the doctor after his super annulations.
